Digital Camera Noise Tutorial
This tutorial will give a quick introduction to the Digital Camera Noise tool
Add the initial image to the flow.
Add the Digital Camera Noise tool from the Tools->Awake menu, or from the tool bar item 'DC'.
Zoom in on a small portion of the image to check the effect.
Adjust the noise using the overall brightness and per channel (Red, Green, Blue) noise deviation sliders. Using a split screen with a captured sequence next to a rendered sequence the artist can determine a reasonable value for the noise deviation.
The Dark Threshold can be adjusted to increase the amount of noise in dark areas of the image. The noise scales linearly with the brightness of a pixel, but the darkness threshold allows the artist to control the minimum weight resulting from the brightness value.
